CVE-2025-36250Network attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via improper process controls

Published Nov 13, 2025 · Updated Nov 13, 2025

Command execution in IBM AIX 7.2 and 7.3 and VIOS 3.1 and 4.1 nimesis allows remote attackers to run arbitrary commands. The nimesis service passes attacker-controlled network requests into command execution under improper process controls; IBM has not disclosed the additional request forms. Network connectivity to the affected host is the published reachability gate, with no authentication or user interaction required.
