CVE-2025-36247Network attack vector

Data disclosure and memory exhaustion via XXE

Published Feb 17, 2026 · Updated Feb 17, 2026

XXE in IBM Db2 11.5.0 through 11.5.9 and 12.1.0 through 12.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to expose sensitive data. The XML-processing path resolves attacker-controlled external entity references instead of restricting them, but IBM has not disclosed the affected parser or code path. Network access and a low-privilege authenticated Db2 context are required; successful exploitation exposes sensitive information or consumes memory.
