CVE-2025-3623Network attack vector

Arbitrary file deletion via caller-controlled decryption secret

Published May 14, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

PHP object injection in Uncanny Owl Uncanny Automator 6.4.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary files. Several AJAX handlers pass attacker-controlled message and nonce values to automator_api_decode_message(), which decrypts and then calls maybe_unserialize() on the plaintext. No authentication or user interaction is required; exploitation also requires a usable POP chain, and the bundled chain can delete a chosen server file.
