CVE-2025-36229Network attack vector

Authenticated data disclosure via package ID enumeration

Published Dec 26, 2025 · Updated Dec 26, 2025

Information disclosure in IBM Aspera Faspex 5 5.0.0 through 5.0.14.1 allows remote authenticated users to enumerate sensitive package data. The package API accepts attacker-selected package identifiers and returns metadata outside the user's authorized package set. Low-privileged network access to a Faspex account is required; exposure is limited to confidentiality, with no reported data modification or service interruption.
