CVE-2025-36185

Local denial of service

Published Nov 7, 2025 · Updated Nov 7, 2025

Improper query neutralization in IBM Db2 12.1.0 through 12.1.2 allows local users to interrupt the database service on UNIX. IBM identifies data query logic as the affected area but does not disclose the key functionality, malformed elements, or failure path that produces the denial of service. The vulnerable Server edition includes Db2 Connect Server; IBM states that UNIX is affected while Linux and Windows are not, and the published impact is limited to availability.
