CVE-2025-3618Network attack vector

Remote service crash via null pointer dereference

Published Apr 15, 2025 · Updated Apr 17, 2025

Null-pointer dereference in Rockwell Automation ThinManager 14.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash the ThinServer service. While processing a Type 18 message, ThinServer fails to validate a memory-allocation result before dereferencing the resulting null pointer. No authentication is required, and exploitation interrupts the service without reported data disclosure or modification.
