CVE-2025-36131

Credential disclosure via clpplus no-window mode

Published Nov 7, 2025 · Updated Nov 7, 2025

Credential exposure in affected IBM Db2 11.1, 11.5, and 12.1 releases allows physically proximate attackers to read terminal credentials. In the published affected ranges, clpplus uses the current command-line window when started with -nw and exposes connection credentials there; IBM withholds deeper implementation details. Physical access to that terminal is required, and the reported consequence is credential disclosure without data modification or service interruption.
