Stored script execution via visualization descriptions
Published Apr 15, 2025 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Demtec Graphlytic 5.0.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user’s browser. The visualization save flow stores the description without neutralizing HTML event-handler content, and the Projects list renders that value as executable markup. Low-privileged access is required to save a visualization, and a second user must open the Projects list to trigger the stored payload.
