CVE-2025-36117Network attack vector

Authenticated impersonation via reusable session IDs

Published Jul 23, 2025 · Updated Aug 18, 2025

Session fixation in IBM's Db2 Mirror 7.4, 7.5, and 7.6 allows remote authenticated users to impersonate another user. The GUI fails to invalidate a session ID after use, leaving the identifier reusable for a different authenticated session. A valid platform account and network access to the web-based GUI are required; successful reuse exposes data and operations permitted to the impersonated account.
