Validation bypass in IBM Controller and Cognos Controller allows remote authenticated users to submit unvalidated input as trusted data. The client enforces a security check that the server does not repeat, so the application accepts user-controlled values after client-side validation is bypassed; IBM has not identified the affected request or field. A privileged account is required; affected releases are IBM Controller 11.1.0 through 11.1.1 and IBM Cognos Controller 11.0.0 through 11.0.1 FP6.
