CVE-2025-36088Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via stored event-description script

Published Aug 15, 2025 · Updated Aug 15, 2025

Stored cross-site scripting in the IBM TS4500 Tape Library web GUI allows remote authenticated users to expose credentials through event entries. The End of Call description field accepts unsanitized HTML or JavaScript, stores it, and renders the payload when another user opens the affected event entry. Affected builds are 1.10.00-F00 and 1.11.0.0-D00 through 1.11.0.2-C00; execution requires a signed-in user to open the entry, bounding impact to data accessible within that trusted session.
