Denial of service in IBM Db2 11.5.0 through 11.5.9 and 12.1.0 through 12.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to crash the server. During federated-query processing, Db2 fails to release memory resources under certain conditions triggered by a crafted query. A low-privilege database login and network access are required; exploitation interrupts database availability, and IBM has not disclosed the exact code path or triggering condition.
