CVE-2025-36004Network attack vector

Administrator code execution via unqualified library call

Published Jun 25, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Privilege escalation in IBM Facsimile Support on releases 7.2 through 7.5 allows remote authenticated users to run code as an administrator. The component makes an unqualified library call, allowing user-controlled code placed earlier in the library search path to be resolved and executed. The attacker must be able to compile or restore a program; successful exploitation executes that code with administrator privilege.
