Authenticated service interruption via recursive XML SQL

Uncontrolled recursion in IBM Db2 11.5.0 through 11.5.9 and 12.1.0 through 12.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service. A specially crafted SQL statement containing XML triggers uncontrolled recursion during query processing until Db2 becomes unavailable. The user must hold database credentials and submit the statement over a Db2 connection; IBM has not disclosed the responsible parser or replication steps.
