Hosting-process crash via unsafe request reflection
Published May 14, 2025 · Updated Aug 27, 2025
Unsafe reflection in Progress Telerik UI for ASP.NET AJAX 2011.2.712 through 2025.1.218 allows remote attackers to crash the hosting process. Progress has not disclosed the reflected type selector or exact code locus; it confirms that crafted request data triggers unsafe reflection and an unhandled exception. Exposure requires a Telerik WebResource handler registered in web.config, and exploitation interrupts the application while its IIS process restarts.
