Privileged attestation denial via incomplete QVL results
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Omission of security-relevant information in Intel TDX DCAP 1.14 through 1.23 allows local users with admin privileges to disrupt attestation. The Quote Verification Library returns insufficient detail for customer platform security verification; Intel has not disclosed the faulty function or omitted fields. Exploitation requires privileged local access, high complexity, attack requirements, special internal knowledge, and no user interaction; the result alters verification data and interrupts attestation.
