Heap-buffer over-read in aiString::Set in Assimp 5.4.0 through 5.4.3 allows local users to crash applications via a malformed MD3 file. aiString::Set calls strlen on an unterminated string derived from MD3 input, scanning beyond the allocated heap buffer before copying a bounded result. Exploitation requires a local user to make a consuming application import the crafted file; the demonstrated consequence is an application crash.
