Adjacent-network device takeover via getLanguage command injection
Published Apr 14, 2025 · Updated Apr 14, 2025
Command injection in H3C Magic router firmware V100R014 allows remote authenticated users on the local network to execute commands. The /api/wizard/getLanguage POST handler uses FCGI_CheckStringIfContainsSemicolon without neutralizing command syntax before downstream execution. Reachability requires wired or wireless LAN access; successful injection grants device control and can interrupt network service, while H3C reports no stored sensitive data.
