CVE-2025-35430Network attack vector

Authenticated arbitrary file read via path traversal

Published Sep 17, 2025 · Updated Sep 17, 2025

Path traversal in CISA Thorium before 1.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files through download requests. The download_ephemeral and download_children handlers accept user-controlled paths without ensuring that resolved files remain inside the permitted download tree. A valid Thorium account is required, and readable files remain limited by the API service's filesystem permissions.
