Unauthenticated user-record modification via ID parameter
Published Apr 13, 2025 · Updated Apr 14, 2025
Improper authorization in Employee Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to modify user records via the update-user.php ID parameter. /admin/update-user.php accepts a caller-controlled record ID and performs the requested user update without verifying authorization for that record. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the published assessments limit the consequence to user-record modification rather than disclosure or service interruption.
