Unauthenticated underpayment via mismatched cart parameters
Published Apr 23, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Price manipulation in Tips and Tricks HQ Simple Shopping Cart 5.1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to underpay via crafted cart requests. The cart-addition handler validates price with product_tmp_two but displays wspsc_product, allowing the fields to identify different products. No authentication is required; substituting a cheaper product's signed details preserves the lower price while presenting a more expensive item.
