Denial of service via unbounded session attributes
Published Jun 16, 2025 · Updated Jun 16, 2025
Denial of service in Liferay Portal 7.0.0 through 7.4.3.21 and affected Liferay DXP releases allows remote attackers to exhaust memory. SessionClicks.put saves attacker-controlled request keys and values as HTTP-session attributes without limiting their size or count. Unauthenticated crafted requests can grow per-session storage until the service runs out of memory and becomes unavailable.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
