Stored XSS via unescaped email default value
Published May 2, 2025 · Updated May 2, 2025
Stored XSS in Brainstorm Force SureForms before 1.4.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via form settings. The Email block's Default Value setting stores attacker-controlled HTML attributes and renders them without output escaping. An administrator-level account must save the form, and script execution requires a visitor to load the embedded form, even when unfiltered_html is disabled.
