CVE-2025-3511Network attack vector

Remote service interruption via malformed UDP quantity

Published Apr 25, 2025 · Updated Aug 27, 2026

Improper input validation in the Ethernet function of Mitsubishi Electric FA products allows remote attackers to interrupt service via UDP packets. The Ethernet function does not validate a quantity in a specially crafted UDP packet, leaving most modules unresponsive until reset and causing timeout or communication delays in others. No authentication or user interaction is required; affected devices must be network-reachable, and some remote modules enter the condition when no valid UDP packet arrives within three seconds.
