Unauthenticated code execution via .NET deserialization
Published Oct 9, 2025 · Updated Oct 9, 2025
Unsafe .NET deserialization in Newforma Project Center 2024.3 allows remote attackers to execute code through a NIX endpoint. The /remoteweb/remote.rem handler accepts and deserializes attacker-supplied .NET objects without authenticating the request. Code runs as NT AUTHORITY\NetworkService, and the exposed Info Exchange service can provide a path toward an associated Project Center Server.
