Stored XSS via unescaped marker icon setting
Published May 1, 2025 · Updated May 1, 2025
Stored XSS in Flipper Code WP Maps before 4.7.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through crafted map settings. The map editor stores the map_all_control[marker_default_icon] value without sanitizing it and emits it without output escaping when a map is edited. Administrator-level access is required, and a later map-editing view executes the injected script even when unfiltered_html is disabled.
