Local privilege escalation via hard-link race

Authorization bypass in AsIO3.sys in ASUS Armoury Crate 5.9.9.0 through 6.1.18 allows local users to access privileged driver functions. The driver's handle authorization hashes the executable found at the process image path after process creation, so a hard link can be retargeted to the trusted AsusCertService.exe before the file is read. A local low-privileged user who wins the race can open the Asusgio3 device and reach physical-memory mapping, I/O-port access, and MSR read/write operations that support full system compromise.
