Administrative code execution via signed installer configuration

Improper certificate validation in ASUS DriverHub before 1.0.6.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted HTTP requests. The local UpdateApp service retains unsigned payloads and executes an ASUS-signed AsusSetup.exe, whose untrusted AsusSetup.ini can direct SilentInstallRun to launch the payload. Exploitation requires DriverHub on an affected motherboard system and passive interaction with an attacker-controlled website, after which code runs with administrative privileges.
