CVE-2025-3460Public exploit

Root command execution via unsanitized script argument

Published Jun 8, 2025 · Updated Jun 9, 2025

Command injection in onsemi Quantenna Wi-Fi chipsets through 8.0.0.28 allows attackers to execute arbitrary commands as root. The set_tx_pow shell script assigns its first argument to power without sanitization, allowing shell syntax to be evaluated during script execution. Remote reachability requires an implementer to leave qcsapi RPC enabled; a crafted run_script request then executes attacker-supplied commands as root, including commands that expose a telnet service.
