Heap-based buffer overflow in Arcserve UDP before 10.2 allows remote attackers to execute code or crash the service via crafted network input. The network-facing input routines apply improper bounds checks to attacker-controlled data, allowing that data to corrupt heap memory. No authentication or user interaction is required; exploitation runs in the vulnerable process and can crash it or execute arbitrary code.
