CVE-2025-3452Network attack vector

Subscriber-level plugin installation via unchecked AJAX callback

Published Apr 29, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Missing authorization in SecuPress Free 2.3.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to install arbitrary WordPress plugins. The secupress_reinstall_plugins_admin_ajax_cb AJAX handler performs the installation workflow without checking whether the caller has plugin-installation capability. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and successful use changes the site's installed plugin set without granting a documented broader administrative capability.
