Broken password hashing in Ilevia EVE X1 Server firmware 4.7.18.0.eden and earlier allows attackers to recover stored passwords. The password database stores each password as a fast MD5 digest without a unique salt, enabling efficient offline dictionary, rainbow-table, and brute-force cracking. Database access is required before cracking, and recovered credentials expose only accounts whose hashes were obtained.
