Path traversal in Ilevia EVE X1 Server firmware 4.7.18.0.eden and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files. The unauthenticated endpoint accepts a file POST parameter, checks the supplied path with file_exists(), and returns its contents with file_get_contents() without restricting it to an allowed directory. Network access to port 8080 is sufficient, exposing any file readable by the web-server process, including configuration data.
