File disclosure and service interruption via path traversal
Published Jun 17, 2025 · Updated Mar 5, 2026
Path traversal in ZendTo 6.15-7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read or move files through crafted dropoff requests. The dropoff parser builds a temporary path from attacker-controlled chunkName and tmp_name values, then moves the resolved file into a downloadable dropoff. Any account able to submit a dropoff can reach files readable by the web-service user; moving logs, uploads, the database, or source files exposes data and can interrupt the service.
