CVE-2025-34469Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vectorHinoki check available

DDoS amplification via unrestricted wget and curl emulation

Published Dec 31, 2025 · Updated Dec 31, 2025

SSRF in Cowrie before 2.9.0 allows remote attackers to generate HTTP denial-of-service traffic through emulated shell commands. The wget and curl emulations issue real outbound requests to attacker-supplied destinations without enforcing an outbound request rate limit. Default emulated-shell mode is reachable through SSH or Telnet without prior privileges, allowing repeated commands to consume honeypot bandwidth and direct traffic at third-party services.
