Path traversal in Matt Holt Archiver v3 3.5.1 and earlier allows attackers to overwrite arbitrary files through crafted ZIP archives. Unarchive follows path-traversal symlinks from ZIP entries without verifying that each resolved target remains under the output directory. Exploitation requires a consuming application to extract an attacker-controlled archive; writes inherit that application's privileges and can enable code execution.
