Phishing redirects via unchecked signup destination

Published Dec 17, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025

Open redirect in AVideo before 20.1 allows remote attackers to send users to external sites through a crafted signup URL. The signup handler in view/userSignUpBody.php copies the siteRedirectUri request value into window.location.href without restricting the destination to a relative or same-origin URL. No account is required to create the link, but a user must follow it and interact with the registration flow before the browser leaves the trusted AVideo origin.
