Phishing redirection via unchecked cancel link URL
Published Dec 17, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025
Open redirect in AVideo before 20.1 allows remote attackers to send links that redirect users to attacker-controlled sites. The view/userLogin.php login view places cancelUri in its cancel link after checking only that it is a valid URL, not that it is relative or same-origin. No account is required to craft the link, but a user must follow it and activate the cancel action; the resulting off-site navigation can support phishing without changing server data.
