Authenticated cross-owner file upload via unchecked videos_id
Published Dec 17, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025
Authorization bypass in AVideo before 20.1 allows remote authenticated users to upload files into other users' video directories. The view/list-images.upload.json.php endpoint derives the destination from the caller-controlled videos_id value without calling Video::canEdit() to verify ownership. Any account with upload access can therefore place a file in another user's video directory; the record does not establish code execution from the uploaded file.
