Authenticated SYSTEM command execution via unquoted license extension
Published Nov 19, 2025 · Updated Nov 21, 2025
Command injection in AudioCodes Fax Server and Auto Attendant IVR 2.6.23 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. ActivateLicense.php copies the attacker-controlled upload extension into an unquoted argument for fax_server_lic_cmdline.exe and passes it to exec(). Access to the license upload interface is required; injected shell metacharacters run arbitrary commands as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM.
