CVE-2025-34323Public exploit

Root command execution via replaceable sudo scripts

Published Nov 17, 2025 · Updated Nov 17, 2025

Local privilege escalation in Nagios Log Server before 2026R1.0.1 allows local users acting as www-data to execute commands as root. The /usr/local/nagioslogserver/scripts directory is writable by the nagios group, while sudo permits www-data to run root-owned scripts there without a password. Control of the www-data account is required; replacing an allowed script and invoking its original path through sudo yields arbitrary root command execution.
