Unauthenticated command execution via traversal-exposed credentials
Published Nov 20, 2025 · Updated Jul 14, 2026
Path traversal in the Jetty web endpoint in BASIS BBj before 25.00 allows remote attackers to read service-accessible files. The endpoint fails to validate or canonicalize path segments before resolving a requested resource, so traversal sequences escape the intended directory. No authentication is required; exposed configuration credentials grant Enterprise Manager administration and command execution under the BBj service account.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
