Session-context script execution via unencoded time-constraint fields
Published Oct 28, 2025 · Updated Oct 29, 2025
Stored XSS in IPFire before 2.29 (Core Update 198) allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in other users' sessions. The TIMECONSTRAINT path in /cgi-bin/urlfilter.cgi stores SRC, DST, and COMMENT values and later renders them without HTML sanitization or output encoding. An authenticated attacker must create a time-constraint rule, and execution occurs when another user views the affected entry.
