Stored XSS via unencoded QoS settings
Published Oct 28, 2025 · Updated Oct 28, 2025
Stored XSS in the QoS WebGUI of IPFire before 2.29 Core Update 198 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in viewers' sessions. The /cgi-bin/qos.cgi handler stores INC_SPD, OUT_SPD, DEFCLASS_INC, and DEFCLASS_OUT values and renders them without sanitization or output encoding. Exploitation requires authenticated WebGUI access and another user to view the affected QoS data, exposing that user's browser session to script-driven data access or changes.
