CVE-2025-34307Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated stored XSS via unsanitized pienumber

Published Oct 28, 2025 · Updated Oct 28, 2025

Stored XSS in IPFire before 2.29 (Core Update 198) allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in other users' browsers. The firewall country-log handler stores the pienumber POST value and later inserts it into HTML without sanitizing or encoding HTML-related characters. Administrative WebGUI access is required to plant the value, and another user must view the affected country-search settings for the script to run in that user's browser context.
