Authenticated data disclosure via unparameterized log query
Published Oct 28, 2025 · Updated Oct 28, 2025
SQL injection in IPFire before 2.29 (Core Update 198) allows remote authenticated users to disclose database data through OpenVPN logs. The ovpnclients.dat handler interpolates the CONNECTION_NAME POST value directly into an SQLite WHERE clause without sanitization or parameterization. Administrative WebGUI access on the GREEN network is required; default configurations expose information disclosure but not remote code execution.
