Cleartext transmission in Nagios Log Server before 2024R2.0.2 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept cluster credentials. The cluster manager requests sensitive credentials from peer nodes over an unencrypted channel even when product-level SSL/TLS is enabled. Network-path access is required; captured credentials permit authentication as a cluster node or service account and associated unauthorized access.
