Session compromise via unsanitized rule fields
Published Dec 5, 2025 · Updated Aug 14, 2026
Stored XSS in Advantech WISE-DeviceOn Server before 5.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in viewers' browsers. The /rmm/v1/rule-engines endpoint stores the min, max, and unit values without HTML sanitation and later renders them in rule views. A rule-creation or update request requires an authenticated account, and exploitation compromises a viewer's session or performs unauthorized actions in that viewer's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
