Authenticated stored XSS via unsanitized dashboard fields
Published Dec 5, 2025 · Updated Aug 14, 2026
Stored XSS in Advantech WISE-DeviceOn Server before 5.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through dashboard menus. The /rmm/v1/plugin-config/dashboards/menus endpoint stores label and path values, then renders them without HTML sanitization. Exploitation requires dashboard-edit access and a user who views or interacts with the entry, enabling session compromise and actions in that user's browser context.
