CVE-2025-3426

Credential recovery via embedded password and salt

Published Apr 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 10, 2025

Hard-coded credentials in Philips IntelliSpace Portal 12 and earlier and Advanced Visualization Workspace 15 allow local users to recover secrets. PortalUsersDatabase.dll leaves the encrypted password and salt used by Users.CreateAdmin and Users.CreateService available to decompilation. Local access to the Windows binaries and successful reverse engineering expose the initial Admin and service-user credentials, enabling account compromise.
